Cruise to the New Farm Powerhouse Markets

Nothing says ‘city break’ more than a stroll through the Powerhouse Markets on a Saturday morning, where food the freshest of farm produce and delicious international flavours stand side by side. For Gabba Central Apartment guests, this lovely morning out is just one City Cat stop away and is not only family friendly, but kind to the hip pocket also.

Trading from 6am -12 noon, the markets feature farm fresh fruit and veg as well meats, seafood, small goods, sauces and everything in between to create a feast. Browsing on an empty stomach isn’t always a top idea though, so grab a still-warm croissant, crepes, Japanese skewer or even a pizza (hey- you’re on holidays!) to munch on before filling up your basket. Kids will love the enormous New Farm park playground, just a short walk (or City Cat stop) away.
